Why we were created

We were born out of the commitment of Cloudera Inc., a software company headquartered in Silicon Valley with offices in 30 countries, to empower more nonprofits to use data as a tool to achieve impact. When the company became publicly traded, management chose to mirror Pledge 1%’s model by donating 1 percent of the company’s equity, profit, product, and employee time to their communities.

Our team

We are a team of professionals with deep experience across both nonprofit and private sectors, with backgrounds in tech, business, and strategy. Based in Silicon Valley, we proudly represent perspectives from 5 continents.
